To the leadership of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

Dear comrades,
The Communist Party of Turkey is in deep grief to hear about the assasination of comrades Muhammad Abd al-Aal (Abu Ghazi), a member of the Front’s political bureau and head of the military security department; Imad Awda (Abu Ziad), a member of the Front’s military department and its military commander in Lebanon; and Abd al-Rahman Abd al-Aal.
Our comrades stood firm against the crimes of Israel and were martyred while fighting for the liberation of the Palestinian people. The enemy knows no bounds in achieving its aims and is pushing all the peoples of the Middle East to a very dangerous point. It is needless to say that the Zionist enemy is directly supported by imperialism and especially its frontrunner, the USA.
But the resistance against the enemy is strong and determined, as shown by the people of Palestine since October 7th, 2023. The enemy could not defeat the people in Gaza, nor could it undermine their determination. The people of Lebanon will not be defeated, either.
The struggle will continue until the enemy is defeated and the people of Palestine will be free again.
The Communist Party of Turkey stands by the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom. Especially since October 7th, 2023 we have organised a number of solidarity actions and will continue to do so. The Palestinian issue is an extremely important matter in Turkish politics and the political document of our most recent congress (organised early this September) reflects the Party’s stance on this issue.
We salute the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine for their historic role in the struggle for freedom. We believe that our decades-long comradeship will be fortified in the near future with new opportunities.
