We are witnessing a new phase of Israeli aggression. While the resistance continues in Palestine, Israeli attacks are at the same time intensifying in Lebanon and directing towards Syria.
With the debates about whether those who lost their lives in the attacks are civilians or not, the fact that the resistance involves large masses of the people in Palestine and Lebanon is tried to be concealed.
On the other hand, in the face of increasing attacks, we see that once again the tale of Israel’s invincibility is being told. If this tale can be told so easily, the reason is the multinational monopolies behind Israel, the reason is the full support of US imperialism behind Israel.
Israel, the enemy of the peoples of the region and the whole world, has to be pushed back in our region with its soldiers, occupying settlers and Zionist propaganda. We should also consider the Israeli propaganda that infiltrates our country through the channels opened by multinational monopolies and US imperialism. TKP will continue to show the hypocrisy of the AKP government in its opposition to Israel. It will do its best to regress the Israeli propaganda put into action through various channels, especially through the media, to manipulate our people.
And most importantly, opposing these attacks, which has the potential to evolve into an increasingly widespread regional war and eventually a world war, we must be prepared for the possibility that the AKP government may try to open a space of manoeuvre for itself in this fire by ignoring the sovereignty of other countries. More than ever, we need to stand firm in order not to allow our country and the world to be dragged into new adventures that bring nothing but destruction to the people.
With this determination, we condemn the barbaric Israeli aggression in Palestine and now the attacks in Lebanon that have killed hundreds and wounded thousands. Against these attacks, which aim to break the anti-Israeli resistance line as a whole, we declare our solidarity with the Lebanese Communist Party and all the Lebanese people and reiterate our solidarity with the Palestinian people.
It will be the resistance of the peoples of the region that will stop Israel and set back the plans of the multinational monopolies and US imperialism.
