The members of TKP will not go to the polls to show that we are not doomed to this agreement, with which many people are discontent yet stay silent for now, to be prepared for the dangerous developments that will emerge after the elections, and not to be part of the attempts to legitimate the reactionary policies.
This is not a call for boycott, but a political attitude. Our Party is acting by knowing that the working people of Turkey will further need this attitude as of June 24.
The March 31st local elections showed that the electoral system turned into a toy in the hands of the power and that the injustice and arbitrariness against the people reached its peak level.
The TKP considers that the current situation must be changed fundamentally for a fair system of elections and it presents its proposals under the title of "The Unfair and Arbitrary Election System Should Change" through a petition.
The legitimacy of people’s struggle to overthrow the Bashir regime, which is clearly in an administration crisis, is crystal clear; however it is also clear that overthrowing this regime with a military coup will result in grave consequences for the people. The Administration in Sudan shall be handed over to the people immediately.
