The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), celebrating its 97th foundation anniversary, made a public statement saying that a celebration in these conditions of Turkey can only mean an announcement of the determination for further struggle.
TKP has been preparing for the events in five big cities to be held on September, 10 and for the openings of new party offices.
Before the 97th foundation anniversary, the Central Committee of TKP has made a public statement with the slogan that “we want what is necessary and possible, not the impossible”.
The statement makes it clear that “a birthday celebration in these circumstances of Turkey, where have been darkened by the system of capitalists and surrendered by Erdoğan and his group, can only mean an announcement of the determination for the further struggle”.
The struggle, for the TKP, needs to be strengthened against capitalist exploiters and their assistances in the political arena, against those who do not like educated and enlightened people, against sectarian, fascist, militarist, anti-women barbarism, and against imperialist powers and their local representatives applying imperialist recipes.
The statement calls people to fight against a world system managed by Trumps, Merkels and Erdoğans because “a system where there are no unemployment, hunger, wars, child deaths, harassments and fascism is possible”. “A system is possible where people do not worry about house rents, electricity bills, heating costs, education and health expenditures. Equality is possible. Freedom is possible. Living together is possible”, and these can only come with socialism, it adds.
The Communist Party of Turkey states that the anniversary events and celebrations are organised to convince working people to the struggle for socialism, which is not only necessary but also possible.
